Star was my officemate in my past life as a marketing person in Universal Robina Corporation.  Corporate life may not be for me, but for the 2 jobs I had before I made the switch to makeup artistry, I’m extremely lucky to be surrounded by good officemates, most of whom I still keep in touch with. Check out Star and Lester’s wedding photos taken in sunny Acuatico Resort (one of my fave resorts in Laiya!):

Three days before her wedding, Sara got dengue fever. Yep, you read that right. Deadly dengue. I seriously don’t know how she was able to recover in such a short span of time, but I guess walang sakit sakit pag ikakasal! Looking at the photos, she didn’t look the least bit sick, agree?

Bede + Abu’s Korean Engagement Shoot

When I first went to Seoul, South Korea March last year, I told myself I will definitely be back to explore more of this interesting country (and to hoard cheap Korean makeup!). So I was really surprised when in just 3 months, I was back to do makeup for my friends Abu and Bede’s engagement shoot. I got my wish to explore too because aside from the Myeongdong shopping district, we shot in different parts of the city that tourists don’t normally go to. Photographers Jorem and Sheila Catilo expertly captured that Koreanovela feel, all the while keeping things fun and laid back. To cap off this amazing trip, I was upgraded to business class on my flight home for free. Sweet! 🙂

When I was a freshman in Ateneo, I sat beside this friendly and chatty girl during our English block orientation seminar. Camille and I instantly became friends, and all through out college we’d have other classes together. A few years after graduating, I soon bumped into her again when we started working in the wedding industry– I as a makeup artist and she as a bridal gown designer (plus, she manages the family-owned events place The Glass Garden). We both started on the same year, and we helped each other through several collaborations. Looking back, it really is amazing how far we’ve both gone in our respective careers. I couldn’t be happier when she asked me to do her wedding makeup, it really is something when a co-supplier trusts you for her own big day. I should be congratulating Camille and Martin for their wedding, but this post is sooo delayed, I should be congratulating them now for their baby girl Ava!

I feel like I’m cheating by including a wedding post here in my blog challenge because I semi-regularly do it anyway. I just really want to include Faye’s wedding portraits after receiving this email from her two weeks ago:

Step By Step Wedding / Natural Makeup

My bride-to-be Shaina agreed to let me document our trial makeup session earlier. She and her husband Patrick scheduled their prenup shoot in National Museum today so it was the perfect time to test her wedding makeup also. I will focus more on the process and not so much on the products in this post. All the photos have no edits, no filters whatsoever. Oh and hairstylist Alex Leyson photobombs pretty much each photo since we also tested her wedding hairstyle. Here’s my typical makeup workflow:

I’ve been friends with Maita since we’re kids; we’re batchmates in School of the Holy Spirit and in Ateneo. She can easily be the token girl we all love to hate in high school who seem to have it all– exceptionally beautiful, smart, talented, and creative. Except that with Maita you simply can’t, because she’s also extremely sweet, genuine, down to earth, and kind-hearted. Love to hate her? Nope. We love her. Period.

The word SPUNK instantly comes to my mind when I think of April. Yep, the girl’s got some serious spunk. It’s evident with her choices– the non-traditional gown, the bold red lip. She seems like your long time kalog girl friend, always dishing out funny punchlines. We didn’t have trial prior to the wedding (“Malakas pananampalataya ko sa blog mo!”) but I didn’t have any problem, she was very easy going and was pleased with the bronzed eyeshadow paired with Russian Red lips. Check out her photos below. 🙂

Here’s what Michelle, my Dubai-based bride, wrote in her photo album when she uploaded these photos on Facebook:

“When we find someone whose

weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into

mutually satisfying weirdness and

it’s love, true love”

-Robert Fulghum

Now go find someone you can be ridiculously weird with. 🙂

Are blogs covered by Throwback Thursdays? If so, this is my version. Ann’s wedding happened late 2011 or very early 2012, and I just realized I haven’t posted her photos! I cannot NOT include her, I love her features and it was fun enhancing them. #tbt #throwbackthursday
