Frequently Asked Questions on Personal Makeup Workshops
Are you curious what happens in my personal makeup workshops? Here are the frequently asked questions and my answers to them:
Q: What exactly is going to happen in the workshop?
A: Here’s a rough timeline:
Q: Where is it going to be?
A. It will be in my makeup studio in Quezon City. Obviously, it is not in the center of Manila so as much as possible, the workshops are mostly held on Sundays so there will be minimal traffic going there. It’s pretty small, so I can only accommodate max of 5 people at a time. This is actually very ideal because it’s intimate. I really get to go around and teach each one personally, but it’s big enough that there’s an exchange of energy and ideas. It’s as close to having a one-on-one session with me.
Q: I want to sign up but I have zero/very little makeup with me! Can I still join?
A: Of course! I provide all the makeup, brushes, and tools that you’ll need. You can just buy your own stuff after. This way, you’ll be confident that you’ll be buying only what you need and not just second guessing the shades that will suit you.
Q. I have my own makeup but I don’t know how to use them. Can I bring them with me and can you teach me how to use them?
A. Again, of course! We can also edit your makeup kit, I’ll tell you what to keep and what to throw/give away. I’ve had students who buy a lot or receive a lot as gifts but have no clue how to use them, so they brought those products to the workshop. It’s a great way for everyone to learn different brands as well.
Q. I don’t know how to put makeup AT ALL. As in zilch. Nada. I’m scared! I badly want to learn though, can I still join?
A. I’ve had students that have zero knowledge together with pro makeup artists (who insisted on taking the personal workshop) in the same class and they learned just the same. I (together with an assistant makeup artist), will guide you step by step. Just relax and have fun along the way. You’ll be surprised how encouraging your co-attendees can be. There’s a constant stream of “Ang galing mong magkilay!” “Girl, ang ganda mo!” which will definitely boost your confidence!
Q. What’s the Make Up For Ever Complimentary Makeover Voucher?
A. Usually, you need to buy at least P5,000 worth of products from Make Up For Ever for you to get your full makeup done by any of the certified artists in the store. If you attend my workshop, you’ll get a voucher that entitles you to get your makeup done for FREE in any of the MUFE stores. You can us the voucher and schedule an appointment there before going to a special occasion, party, or simply want to be dolled up.
Q. What’s inside the Make Up For Ever goodie bag?
A. It varies from time to time, but they are usually a set of 3-4 deluxe (smaller versions) products like the Aqua Eyeliner, Sens Eyes Makeup Remover, Artist Rouge lipstick, HD Microfinish Powder, and Artist Plexigloss.
